Gang Taskforce
The purpose of the Gang Taskforce is to protect the public from street gang violence and to provide the Law Enforcement with investigative, enforcement and intelligence support in combating street gang activity.
The Gang Taskforce is comprised of experienced forensic and criminal investigators, typically with a Captain leading the division.
Gang Taskforce are to remain marked at all times, and are not to be confused with detectives.
Gang Taskforce Units should be focusing on gang related activity at all times. You can identify potential gang related activity such as groups gathering in large numbers while wearing gang colours or in gang related areas, responding to any gang related call such as gang wars or gang & police involved shootings, and etc.
Shady behaviours that could signify possible illegal activity could be for example many people entering and leaving a property quickly could signify a drug house.
